Upon Your ArrivalOnce you arrive, either myself or the front desk will greet you and ask you to fill out a form where you will record any medical history, past/present injuries and other physical conditions I should be made aware of. I will then review the form with you and question you about the reason(s) why you are coming in for a massage, your current physical condition and any specific areas in which you are experiencing pain or would like to address during your massage session.
Beginning Your SessionYou will be then escorted to a peaceful, spa-like treatment room with soothing music playing and a comfortable massage table dressed with a warming blanket awaits. You will then disrobe to your level of comfort. Some clients prefer to completely disrobe, while some will remain partially clothed. Either option is fine. Once disrobed, you will lie on the massage table, under the top sheet. You will have a few minutes for this process and then a knock on the door will be heard and then you will be asked if you are ready before entering your room.
You will always be draped with the top sheet during your massage session and an additional blanket is available at your request. You will only be uncovered at the part of the body that is being worked on, ensuring that your modesty is respected at all times. You can expect a tranquil and comfortable environment during your massage. The massage table is padded and a heating blanket is placed beneath the sheet, which you can have adjusted to your preference. There will be soothing music playing, unless you request otherwise, and the room should be quiet, with no outside distractions. |
During Your SessionBefore the session begins, you will be asked to alert at any time during the session if a technique or stroke is uncomfortable. Depending on your specific needs, requests, or if this is your first time ever receiving a massage, a customized half or full-body massage will be focused on the specific parts of your body that you have requested. It is very important for new comers that the first few massage sessions should be taken lightly and with ease. Continued massage sessions will help loosen the muscles and will be able to accept more intense massages in the future.
Session is CompleteOnce your massage therapy session is complete, you will take your time getting up from the table and re-dress. You will then return to the front lobby and a cup of water will be waiting for you. At this time you may schedule your next visit!
Note: It is very important to drink plenty of water after each session as this rehydrates your muscles, helps reduce potential soreness and flush out all the toxins that were released from your body during the massage. |
